Well the competition seems to be long over and traffic to this site seems to have died down to almost nothing.  Just slightly lower than it was at it's peek.  All that is left is to point you to my home page James Rowe's Homepage and ask that you leave feedback there rather than here - otherwise I probably won't get it.

Competition over 07/23/2007

Well done to the seller of the squash racket, fetching a huge £15.50!  That's a whopping £15.00 more than the mystery box, which probably goes to show people like squash more than they like to take risk.  Never mind, it was worth a try I guess.

I will see if I can get a list of the items and how much they sold for and post it here so try returning to the site in a day or so if you are interested.

Well done madforit2006, a bargain at 50p...  I actually thought the mystery box wasn't going to get a single bid.  I imagine Tineke will have the box sent over to you ASAP.

In the mean time, who is madforit2006?  *wondering if it is somebody at work*

Things are not looking good for the mystery box :-(  At least bids on the other items will still be helping the NSPCC but come-on people where is your sense of adventure?

With 5 hours to go, any bid at this stage could walk away with the box and it's mystery contents - surely it is worth a bid???

The first item in the great ebay charity challenge has a bid!  Just 99p seems a bargain for some goblets but I'm sure it will be the first bid of many. Remember at least half of the money bid on all of the items will go to the NSPCC.

Well done to whoever bought the silver plated goblets with E.N.P.S engraved on bottom.

The charity mystery box has now been lasted for almost 24hours and still hasn't received any bids!  Disaster?  Let's hope not.  Remember, if this item sells for the more than the other 36 items in the challenge then the proceeds of ALL 37 items will go to the NSPCC.  Digg deep people!

Finally the charity sale for the NSPCC is live on ebay!  Click here to view the item, please bid all you can!  Remember if this item wins the ebay challenge then I will donate 100% of the proceeds to the NSPCC.  If it fails to be the highest sale item then only 50% goes to charity so it is vital that you bid high!

I still haven't had any comments posted - does anybody out there know what could be in the box?!

I have weighed the box, ready for ebay and it has come-in at a massive 2227g, that's 4.9pounds!  Does anybody know what weighs that amount?  Anybody want to find out?

Bidding starts in 2 days!

This is a charity event raising funds for the NSPCC!  The aim is to sell a £5 item from a charity shop on ebay - to make even more money for charity.  This item is a Mystery Box the content of which will only be revealed to the winning bidder!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have, but please - just don't ask whats in the box!

Jump over to the gallery to see the box and start trying to guess what may be inside.

Bidding starts in 3 days!

    Great ebay Charity Challenge

The mystery box is an entry in the Great ebay charity challenge, started by Tineke Bright in Guernsey.  If this ebay item goes for the most money then 100% of the money will go to the NSPCC!
